TreatWrite© Documentation and Administrative Management for Speech Pathologists

TreatWrite© is a computerized system designed to support all documentation and administrative requirements for successful speech pathology caseload management.

TreatWrite© Documentation System is a computerized data collection and organization system designed to:
• Meet federally mandated guidelines
• Efficiently document and follow client progress

TreatWrite© Documentation System organizes evaluation, treatment and discharge data into categories using a Continuous Care Plan Improvement Approach (CCPIA). This methodology focuses on written justification of functional progress leading incrementally to a successful care plan outcome. All documents share the same five data sections required to meet documentation standards. These sections are:
• Client Data
• Speech Services Data
• Assessment Data
• Treatment Plan Data
• Recommendations Data

The Functional Status Report (FSR) is the heartbeat of the Continuous Care Improvement Approach. The FSR is a graphic outline for recording and tracking clinical progress from the onset to the termination of therapy. It enables therapists to design focused, goal-oriented treatment strategies and to record clinical outcomes graphically for clients, families, referring physicians and claims reviewers.

TreatWrite© improves accountability by requiring data field completion prior to finalizing reports and notes and has special features including:
• Electronic information transfer from one report    to the next report and from one note to the    next note

• Free write ability to individually customize    reports and notes for each patient
• SOAP notes to track all daily evaluation and    treatment activities
• A scheduling calendar to initiate all note    functions and date all tracking events
• A tracking summary to maintain accountability    for all records
• “Bill Now” function at the end of each daily    note to send billing information for processing    and reimbursement submission
• A complete list of current ICD-9 and CPT codes
• Goal data banks

TreatWrite© Documentation System has been used for 15 years without any reimbursement denials for incomplete or erroneous documentation. A thorough manual explains system implementation, proper documentation procedures (examples provided), claims reviewers perspectives and coding “how to” information.

TreatWrite© Administrative Management System is under construction. It is the companion product to the TreatWrite© Documentation System. This electronic system allows users to:
• Schedule patients
• Bill for services
• Track all administrative functions associated    with client care
• Track daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and    annual receivables
• Track authorizations
• Track evaluations in process
• Track reimbursement by reimbursement source
• Track exceptions to authorizations
• Track exceptions to payment
• Compile status information to generate    management reports
