Expressive
Speech Profile©
or ESP is an excellent new test developed at
Speech Pathways to identify and evaluate the
apractic speaker and to delineate the clinical
differences among the disorders of apraxia,
articulation and phonological processing.
The ESP gives our evaluators the
ability to assess the basic skills needed to
develop verbal communication and to observe
detailed information about a client’s
sound production system. This test evaluates
a client’s ability to use speech sound
features and to assimilate those features into
sounds, words and sentences. A Personal Communication
Profile records test/retest information

producing
a visual record of progress towards conversational
speech.
The Expressive Speech Profile© is a companion
product to the ConnecTalk© program. ESP information
provides a basis for ConnecTalk© intervention
strategies while ESP test/retest results define
progress and help direct the forward path of treatment.
These products provide a revolutionary approach
to organizing the sound production system and
improving the speed and success of therapy. See
the ConnecTalk© section
for more information about this exciting new program. |
