ConnecTalk©, is an innovative treatment program created by Speech Pathways’ professionals to rapidly improve neural-motor programming skills in clients with motor speech planning and execution difficulties. The program is designed to successfully treat non-verbal or limited verbal communicators from a basic skill level through conversational exchange.

ConnecTalk© differs from traditional treatment methods because it uses motor planning strategies to develop free speech sound choice instead of laboriously learning one single word after another. This clinical advancement gives children and adults with apraxia the ability to independently plan speech movements, dramatically decreasing the extent of time and difficulty remediating this disorder. Other populations benefiting from the ConnecTalk© program are children with articulation disorders who learn to integrate sounds into conversational speech quickly and easily, and children with phonological processing disorders who learn to apply the rules governing process application to produce clear speech. The Expressive Speech Profile© measures progress during the ConnecTalk© treatment process and adds accountability and direction to treatment activities.
